Ev-fur-lasting Love Pet Photo Contest

Held each year during the month of February, the contest is held in partnership with chamber member and Berea based nonprofit, Berea ARF. Members of the community can submit a photo of their pet between February 1-14 and then voting is held from February 15-28. Each vote costs $1 with funds raised going to support the chamber as well as Berea ARF, a no-time-limit animal rescue providing shelter, love and care for stray and homeless animals for as long as it takes to place them into forever homes.

Easter Egg My House

Offered each year on the night before Easter, volunteers from the Berea Chamber of Commerce will hide eggs in the front yard of your home in time for the family to wake up to a hassle free egg hunt on Easter morning. Each home will also have the chance to win a Golden Egg filled with one of a number of special prizes such as gift cards, baskets, kid friendly items from chamber businesses, and even cash prizes!

Pricing is $1 per egg with quantities available in 20, 25, 30, 50 or 100.

August

Community Garage Sale

The Berea Community Garage Sale is held in August each year. Registration to have your home added to the list of participating sales opens in early July each year. Cost is $10 to have your home added to the sale, and all funds collected go toward marketing the sale via local newspapers, cleveland.com, and through Facebook marketing.

Members of the community can spend the day treasure hunting and can take a break to stop by one of our amazing Berea restaurants for breakfast, lunch or a coffee!

Two days before the sale, the chamber will publish a live map where shoppers can easily navigate to each address as well as a downloadable sale list with addresses and a description of what is available at each sale.

Boo! Battle

Each October, residents and businesses are invited to sign up for this free competition for the shot to win a cash prize, a trophy, recognition on the chamber’s website and social media, and most importantly – BRAGGING RIGHTS!

The competition runs for 2+ weeks each October. Community members can enjoy a frightful drive touring the contestants to vote for their favorites any day and time of their choosing for this family friendly activity.

Registration for the competition opens in September.
